Urban installations, surreal and ironic but also destabilizing.
These are the three-dimensional works of the English street artist Luke Egan, who through his creative work on buildings, roads, sidewalks, and everyday objects, surprises and attracts the gaze of passers leaving them almost in disbelief.
His art, brings the attention on one of the actual issues of greatest importance and emergency: the clash between man, industry, machine, relentless urbanization, and mother nature.
It's clear in his installations, the desire to make a visual criticism, almost necessary, in relation to contemporary reality, in which the plants, the trees and nature in itself, are now seen only as an urban or housing "object" .
The idea of the artist to bring forth from windows, stairs and bridges, plants and trees, was born as a pretext to reflect for a moment on this important things and see the world through different eyes.
