Hidden Messages

Fred Eerdekens Fred Eerdekens

Apparently abstract sculptures that seem to float in the air, expressing a delicate and ethereal lightness.

They seem simple indecipherable symbols, through a play of light and shadows reveal instead a universe of hidden messages, leaving the viewer unsettled and disbelief.

They are works of art of the Belgian sculptor Fred Eerdekens, who gives rise to continuous suspended installations, where the light becomes the protagonist creating lighting effects, through the use of metal wires, copper and recycled materials.

The contrast between negative and positive does emerge messages and phrases multidimensional entirely unexpected.

Conceptual works where material and immaterial worlds are opposed in a visible and clear way, sculptures in which the object and the meaning become inseparable.

The artist is thus able to manipulate reality and make to lose the perception of space to anyone who observes his creations, it is difficult in fact, to realize at first glance what is the correct point of view.
It is impossible to give a logic sense at his works without the use of light, that revealing what is their real mystery.
