Presented to the Village Design at the Salone del Mobile in Milan, the new proposals of the Poltrona Frau Group are distinguished not only for its originality and elegance, but especially for formal research and attention to detail.
Features that make the group's companies, Cappellini, Cassina, Poltrona Frau and Nemo, the undisputed leaders on the international scene.

Novelty this year is the collaboration with Benjamin Hubert, who unveiled Garment for Cassina and Juliet for Poltrona Frau.

Class 1984, the designer has set up his studio in London in 2007 and today is considered one of the most interesting personalities of contemporary design, a sort of child prodigy who already has numerous awards and collaborations with some of the leading companies in the world.

Hubert research and find innovative solutions, simplifying and customizing even the simplest steps in essential details.

His manufactures for Cappellini, is a lounge armchair with a new approach to the use of textiles.

The structure of the object in fact passes into the background because is the fabric itself to become form and detail.

This is a study on the coating that goes beyond the conventional rules and the typical construction of upholstered furniture, a single piece of fabric is in fact bent around a geometric shape of foamed polyurethane. The result is a armchair that recalls the tailoring, without stitching and removable, because the coating is applied directly to the mold with Velcro.

For  the 100 years of Poltrona Frau, the designer  has also created Juliet, an armchair that offers a new interpretation of the classic quilted, giving a version more free and especially contemporary of it.

The project, which won the design contest launched by the company, has been inspired from the fashion of the Italian renaissance, reinventing the classic quilted lining, in a much softer version, creating a pattern that gives movement to the faceted surfaces.

The complex execution expresses the skill of the craftsmen Poltrona Frau and projects into the future the values of the brand.
