Ilide (Italian Lighting Design) reinterprets the national craft skill handed down from generation to generation.
Its 20 projects, selected by an intense competition which lasted over a year, were made by 20 different Italian craftsmen.
The concept of Ilide, in fact, is to recreate the true value of the Made in Italy of past, producing internally every lamp, supporting in this way the skill of glass blowers of Murano, potters and wood carvers, with their unique skills and the high quality manufacturing.
Ilide aims to recreate the same love for the handmade products of the past, that can certainly convey more emotion of a standardized industrial product.
To achieve this, each product Ilide is different, unique, exclusive and custom made.
The sustainability of handicraft product, joins at the careful study of design and at the advanced technology made by the designers themselves, which adds at their lamps more innovation and efficiency.
During the Salone del Mobile, Ilide has presented the collection "Uniqueness", where each product takes the name of an Italian city, drawing at local materials and craftsmanship, (thus obtaining products "km 0" / zero - every production process is carried out on-site).
